Abstract

By treatment with organolithium or organolanthanoid compounds, e.g. (II), α,β-epoxy silanes, e.g. (I), are alkylated and deoxygenated regio- and stereoselectively to give the corresponding vinylsilanes.

ChemInform Abstract

By treatment with organolithium or organolanthanoid compounds, e.g. (II), α,β-epoxy silanes, e.g. (I), are alkylated and deoxygenated regio- and stereoselectively to give the corresponding vinylsilanes. For example (Ia) yields predominantly Z-(III) as outlined in the reaction scheme. Analogously, the E-isomer is transformed into the corresponding desilylated alkylated E-olefins.
