Abstract

Reaction of the 4-chloroisoxazolopyrimidines (I) with hydrazine hydrate (II) gives the hydrazino derivatives (III) which are coupled with chloroacetone (IV), producing the hydrazones (V).

Reaction of the 4-chloroisoxazolopyrimidines (I) with hydrazine hydrate (II) gives the hydrazino derivatives (III) which are coupled with chloroacetone (IV), producing the hydrazones (V). These are cyclized in refluxing ethanol, forming the triazines (VI) mentioned in the title. The compounds (V) and (VI) have antibacterial and antifungal activity.
