Abstract

The pyrylium perchlorates (I) react with the primary amines (II), producing the pyridinium perchlorates (III) and the iminium salts (IV).

ChemInform Abstract

The pyrylium perchlorates (I) react with the primary amines (II), producing the pyridinium perchlorates (III) and the iminium salts (IV). Hydrolysis of the iminium perchlorate (IVb) yields the cyclohexadiene (V).
