ChemInform Abstract: Reaction of Pyrylium Salts with Nucleophiles. Part 21. Unexpected Formation of 6,6-Dimethyl-5-isopropyl-2,4-cyclohexadienylidene-1-imines from Primary Amines and 2,6-Diisopropylpyrylium Salts.
Abstract
The pyrylium perchlorates (I) react with the primary amines (II), producing the pyridinium perchlorates (III) and the iminium salts (IV).
ChemInform Abstract
The pyrylium perchlorates (I) react with the primary amines (II), producing the pyridinium perchlorates (III) and the iminium salts (IV). Hydrolysis of the iminium perchlorate (IVb) yields the cyclohexadiene (V).
