Abstract

Coupling of the dithiosuccinate (I) with the primary amines (II) or of the tetrathioglutarate (VIb) with (IIa) or benzylamine (IV) gives the amides (III) and (VII).

ChemInform Abstract

Coupling of the dithiosuccinate (I) with the primary amines (II) or of the tetrathioglutarate (VIb) with (IIa) or benzylamine (IV) gives the amides (III) and (VII). In contrast, treatment of (I) with (IV) leads to the formation of the pyrrolidine derivative (V). The pyridazine (IX) is obtained from (I) and the hydrazines (VIII), reaction of the esters (VIa) or (VIb) with (VIIIb) produces the dihydrazides (X).
