Abstract

Nonstoichiometric yttrium monoselenide exhibits an order-disorder transition (at 275 °C for Y0.78Se).

ChemInform Abstract

Nonstoichiometric yttrium monoselenide exhibits an order-disorder transition (at 275 °C for Y0.78Se). Y1-xSe crystallizes in the NaCl-type above 275 °C and a defect ordered superstructure is observed below 275 °C. The ordered superstructure has cubic symmetry (most probably space group Fd3m) with twice the NaCl-type a parameter.
