ChemInform Abstract: Rh10.5As7: A Defective Cr12P7-Type Structure.

ChemInform Abstract

The title compound crystallizes in the hexagonal space group P63/m with Z=1. The structure is described as a defective Cr₁₂P₇-type structure in which Rh-sites, tetrahedrally coordinated by As, are partially occupied. The miscibility gap existing between Rh10.5As7 and Rh₁₂As₇ is explained in terms of the location of the As atoms on the c-axis. A brief survey of the binary Rh-As system is given.
