Abstract
The dithiolene-like Ni complexes (I) are prepared by deprotonation of the monodeprotonated analogues Ni(H(R-L))2 in strongly basic (NH4OH) aqueous ethanol in air.
ChemInform Abstract
The dithiolene-like Ni complexes (I) are prepared by deprotonation of the monodeprotonated analogues Ni(H(R-L))2 in strongly basic (NH4OH) aqueous ethanol in air. These complexes are characterized by electronic, IR, ESR, and X-ray photoelectron spectra as well as electrochemical studies. The oxidation state of Ni is essentially +2 in all the compounds. Recrystallization of (Ib) from CS2 leads to the formation of the title complex (II). Its structure (space group P21/n, Z=4) is determined by X-ray analysis.
