Abstract
Reaction of the amides (I) with the diester (II) yields the esters (III) which are transformed to their derivatives (IV), (VII) and (IX).

Reaction of the amides (I) with the diester (II) yields the esters (III) which are transformed to their derivatives (IV), (VII) and (IX). All compounds (VII) exhibit antitubercular activity (results are tabulated).
