Abstract
The reaction of the tetrafluoroborates (I) with potassium hexacyanoferrate-III in the presence of a base is studied for the first time.

The reaction of the tetrafluoroborates (I) with potassium hexacyanoferrate-III in the presence of a base is studied for the first time. This reaction unexpectedly affords the dimers (II), which are converted to the perchlorates (III) on treatment with HClO4.
