ChemInform Abstract

The primary arylamines (Ia) and (Ib) and the secondary arylamines (Ic) are coupled with 1-bromo-1-ethoxycyclopropane (II) to produce the N-(1-ethoxycyclopropyl)arylamines (III). These compounds are reductively deethoxylated with sodium boranate in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate, yielding the N-arylcyclopropylamines (IV).
