Abstract

Coupling of the allylic acetates (I) with aldehydes such as benzaldehyde (II) under reduction conditions using Zn and Pd(PPh3)4 gives homoallylic alcohols such as (III).

Coupling of the allylic acetates (I) with aldehydes such as benzaldehyde (II) under reduction conditions using Zn and Pd(PPh3)4 gives homoallylic alcohols such as (III). Various similar reactions are described in the original paper.
