Abstract

The N-acyltetrahydropyridines (I) undergo isomerization on treatment with palladium on carbon, forming the enamides (II).

The N-acyltetrahydropyridines (I) undergo isomerization on treatment with palladium on carbon, forming the enamides (II). In the absence of triethylamine, the internal addition products (III) are formed as by- products.
