Abstract

Action of gaseous CO2 on an aqueous suspension of vanadium pentoxide results in the formation of an acidic, yellow solution.

ChemInform Abstract

Action of gaseous CO2 on an aqueous suspension of vanadium pentoxide results in the formation of an acidic, yellow solution. Based on the results of thermogravimetry, electronic and IR spectroscopy, the composition of the product obtained by evaporation is suggested to be V4O15C2H2·nH2O.
