Abstract

are prepared as single crystals by annealing intimate mixtures of Tl2O3 and RbO0.60 (Rb:Tl = 3.5:1) or In2O3 and CsO0.53 (Cs:In = 3.5:1) in a closed Ag cylinder at 650 °C for 14 d. The compounds are isotypic and crystallize in the monoclinic crystal system, space group P21/a, Z=2.

ChemInform Abstract

are prepared as single crystals by annealing intimate mixtures of Tl2O3 and RbO0.60 (Rb:Tl = 3.5:1) or In2O3 and CsO0.53 (Cs:In = 3.5:1) in a closed Ag cylinder at 650 °C for 14 d. The compounds are isotypic and crystallize in the monoclinic crystal system, space group P21/a, Z=2. Their structure is of a novel type with edge-sharing double tetrahedra being the characteristic structural feature.
