Abstract

It is shown that catalytic activity, shape selectivity, and deactivation behavior of ZSM-5 in paraffin cracking reactions can be influenced by thermal pretreatment.

ChemInform Abstract

It is shown that catalytic activity, shape selectivity, and deactivation behavior of ZSM-5 in paraffin cracking reactions can be influenced by thermal pretreatment. A minimum of the deactivation rate as a function of pretreatment time at 600 °C observed in the hexane cracking can be verified in the methanol conversion to gasoline.
