Abstract
Bombesin (I) is synthesized by different methods based on solid-phase techniques, both by stepwise elongation and fragment coupling.

Bombesin (I) is synthesized by different methods based on solid-phase techniques, both by stepwise elongation and fragment coupling. The synthetic peptide is purified to 98% by semi-preparative HPLC. For large-scale preparation a new method based on countercurrent chromatography on the multi-layer coil planet centrifuge is used.
