Title compounds of type (VIII) and (X) are synthesizäd as indicated in the scheme and screened forAtheir antimicrobial activity. (Xa) with carbamoyl and thiocarbamoyl substituents show the highest activity against fungi and bacteria. None of the compounds (VIII) and (Xb), however, proves to be completely inactive.
