The title compound, C₁₃H₁₆N₂O₃·H₂O, is an intramolecular salt and combines a water molecule via an O—H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, the packing of the molecules is stabilized by O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and van der Waals forces.
