1:1 Complex of 2,4-di­nitro­phenol and 4-methoxy­pyridine N-oxide hydrate

The title cocrystal, C₆H₇N₁O₂·C₆H₄N₂O₅, owes its formation to an intermolecular hydrogen bond between the O—H and N—O groups [O⋯O 2.461 (2) Å]. The angle between the planes of the rings of the mol­ecules is 88.82 (7)°. The crystal structure exhibits overlap between the rings of the mol­ecules in the [102] direction. The rings are stacked in the crystal, with a mean interplanar distance of 3.318 (2) Å.
