The temperature dependence of Mössbauer quadrupole splitting of 57Fe2+ in GeFe2O4 is theoretically analysed by taking into account the effect of orbit—lattice interactions from 77 to 1000 K. It shows a good agreement between theoretical and experimental results, brings consistency between Mössbauer and magnetic susceptibility measurements, and emphasizes the importance of the dynamic crystal field approach over a wide range of temperatures.

Die Temperaturabhängigkeit der Mößbauer-Quadrupolaufspaltung von 57Fe2+ in GeFe2O4 wird unter Berücksichtigung der Bahn—Gitter-Wechselwirkungen von 77 bis 1000 K analysiert. Sie zeigt eine gute Übereinstimmung zwischen theoretischen und experimentellen Ergebnissen, ergibt Konsistenz zwischen Mößbauer- und magnetischen Suszeptibilitätsmessungen und hebt die Bedeutung der dynamischen Kristallfeldbehandlung über einen weiten Temperaturbereich hervor.
