Abstract

The demand for micro-optics with highest form accuracy and minimal design errors has shot up with rampant miniaturization of commercial optical systems. Strict design tolerances are further fueled by precision alignment procedures adopted in systems with limited space and short optical path lengths. When it comes to high optical and mechanical design accuracy and superior performance, precision glass molding offers one of the best solutions for the commercial production of micro-optical lenses and lens arrays. The high part-to-part manufacturing reproducibility and advanced in-house metrology solutions make sure that customer design requirements are met throughout the product lifetime.
