Abstract

A multiscale micromechanical model for soft tissue is presented. This model accounts for the progressive stiffening of the mechanical response due to load-induced microstructural rearrangements of the fibers within the microstructure. (© 2015 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
