Abstract

A suspended stripline coupled-line structure has been proposed, which allows for achieving equalization of inductive and capacitive coupling coefficients in a wide range of directional couplers' coupling C. Three different variants of the proposed structure have been considered, and the results of numerical calculations using FD technique have been presented, which show the possibility of equalization of inductive and capacitive coupling coefficients. Moreover, graphs showing structural parameters are presented in a wide range of coupling coefficient k. The results of investigations have been confirmed by the measurements of the designed 15-dB directional coupler. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
