Abstract

We present a 6th order pseudo high-pass filter implemented by a modified version of the double-sided parallel-strip line, in which the width of the dielectric substrate is identical to the width of the conducting strips. The filter, the associated compact circular balun, and the SMA connectors are designed and simulated by means of the CST Microwave Studio, and implemented on a Rogers 4003C substrate. The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulations, and good scattering properties are achieved. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
