Abstract

A printed pellet-shape microstrip-fed monopolar antenna is proposed for portable UWB devices. An impedance bandwidth of 138.3% within the frequency range of 3.1 –17 GHz for S11 < −10 dB is achieved. Positive gain and constant group delay are obtained with omnidirectional radiation pattern. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
