Abstract

In this article a wide bandwidth frequency reconfigurable antenna is presented. The basic geometry of the antenna is a microstrip-fed bow-tie slot antenna. This type of antenna allows bandwidth to increase and it is modified to mount switches easily as well as to maintain good impedance matching in all operating bands. Both the simulated and measured results show that the proposed antenna has good frequency reconfigurability with wide bandwidth. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
