Abstract

2,3-Dihydro-1H-1,5-benzodiazepines are synthesized by the condensation of o-phenylenediamine and various ketones in the presence of kaolin as a recyclable catalyst in dichloroethane. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
