Abstract

A chiral macrocyclic Schiff base ligand and its binuclear metal complexes of Fe, Co, Ni and Cu were synthesized by a modified method with 1,2-diaminocyclobexane as the starting material, which is readily obtained. The characters of those complexes were studied by elemental analyses, MS, NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis and CD (Circular Dichroism) spectra. Furthermore, the electronic absorption spectra and CD spectra properties of the chiral complexes were discussed.
