Ru(CO)₃ [Ph₂PN (i-Bu) PPh₂-P, P] was conveniently obtained by the reaction of Ru(DMSO)₄Cl₂ with Ph₂PN(i-Bu)-PPb₂ and CO in the presence of Zn powder under mild conditions. The crystal and molecular structure was determined by X-ray diffraction. This compound possesses a distorted trigonal bipyramidal configuration.
