Abstract

Based on the structure of Go6976, a known isoform-selective protein kinase C inhibitor, a benzofuran analogue (1) was designed. This analogue was synthesized by coupling of benzofuran 3-acetic acid and 8-oxo-tryptamine and subsequent intramolecular Dieckmann condensation, alkylation, oxidative photocydization and cyanation reaction of mesylate.
