Abstract

A new series of n-alkyl 4-[4-(4-n-octyloxybenzyloxy-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl)ethynyl)benzoates have been prepared. Polarizing microscopic textural observation shows that they are liquid crystals with nematic phase.
