ChemInform Abstract

Asymmetric deprotonation of 4-tert-butylcyclohexanone allows the synthesis of the enantio-enriched silyl enol ether (III) or the related nonaflate (V). In situ generated nonaflate is utilized in Heck-type coupling reactions leading to dienes (VII)/(VIII) and (X).
