ChemInform Abstract

Title compounds such as (IV), (VI) and (VIII) are prepared by the Ugi four-component condensation between azines, prepared from carbonyl compounds such as (I) with hydrazine/benzoylbenzoic acid (II) and cyclohexyl isocyanide. The less reactive azines from carbonyl compounds such as (V) and (VII) use a longer reaction time and no spontaneous cyclization of the intermediate adducts [cf. (IX)] is observed.
