ChemInform Abstract

An iridium-catalyzed isomerization of unsymmetrical diallyl ethers to (E)-allyl vinyl ethers [cf (II), (IV), (VI)], which are useful intermediates for the preparation of γ,δ-unsaturated carbonyl compounds [cf. (VII)] or alcohols [cf. (IX)] via the stereoselective Claisen rearrangement is described.
