ChemInform Abstract

The behavior of some cyclic sulfates toward hydrolysis under various conditions is studied. In connection with a regioselective synthesis of the 4-sulfate galactoside derivative (IX) and a facile access to (IV) and (VI), potential precursors of various natural products are described.
