ChemInform Abstract

A mild and convenient pathway to prepare new didehydroamino acid derivatives like (IV) and (IX) is developed. The latter can easily be transformed into α-amino acids via stereoselective Diels—Alder reaction, cyclopropanation, or hydrogenation.
