ChemInform Abstract
Single crystals of Ag2CN2 are grown from aq. NH3 solutions of AgNO3 and H2CN2. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z = 4. The slightly bent CN22- anion exhibits two significantly different C—N bond lengths of 1.194 and 1.266 Å, respectively.
