ChemInform Abstract

Several title compounds such as (V) and (XII) are prepared via enantiomerically pure lactones like (I) and (XIII) which are obtained recently by enantioselective cyclization of allylic diazotates in the presence of chiral rhodium complexes. A useful modification of the Weinreb amidation is applied to the opening of intermediate lactones with dipeptides in the presence of Me3Al and a new method for the synthesis of substituted diaminocyclopropanes is developed.
