ChemInform Abstract

Several thiocarbamoyl derivatives of cannabinoids [cf. (V) and (VIII)] are obtained in the collidine-catalyzed condensation of readily achieved dihydroxybenzothiamides (III) with citral (IV) and citronellal (VII). The experimental results and theoretical (FMO theory) considerations make it possible to advance the reaction mechanism.
