ChemInform Abstract

A successful preparation of the methyl ester (IV) as building block for solid-phase synthesis to obtain PNA analogues is described. Compound (IV) is prepared by coupling of the PNA thymine monomer (III) with the isothiocyanate (II), derived from (S)-aspartic acid (I) in a number of steps.
