ChemInform Abstract

An alternative and simple method for the deprotection of Mpm-ethers (I) to the alcohols by neat microwave irradiation in the presence of clay-supported ammonium nitrate is reported. The procedure tolerates a variety of functional groups such as esters, acetates, silyl ethers, or amides.
