ChemInform Abstract

The in situ generated PhSeF [(I)/XeF2] reacts with phosphaacetylenes (II) to give title products (III) in contrast to the reaction of PhSeCl (IV) with reactants (II) which undergo chloroselenenylation. The stereochemistry of compounds (III) is not unambiguously established but (E) configuration is assumed.
