ChemInform Abstract

The synthesis of the chiral crystalline and storable t-Bu carbamate derivative (V), which is used as stable azomethine ylide precursor under mild conditions affording the cycloadducts (VII) and (VIII), is presented. In the ylide generation step the need of an aldehyde is avoided.
