ChemInform Abstract

In order to study the structure-activity relationship of 3-methoxyflavones, which possess antipicornavirus properties, the optimal reaction conditions for their synthesis are studied. Using a combination of solid base and a phase-transfer catalyst the reaction of (I) with (II) gives best results for compounds such as (III).
