ChemInform Abstract

Michael-type addition leads to the title compounds, e.g. (III) and (IV). This addition is reversible meaning that these compounds behave as prodrugs of cytotoxic indolones. The prepared derivatives show good cytotoxicity and in some cases also antibacterial activity.
