ChemInform Abstract
Some trans-substituted succinimides (II) are formed by treatment of hydrazides (I) with silyl triflate and amine. A reaction mechanism via intramolecular coupling of intermediate bis(enolsilanes) is proposed. In addition, a new reaction of azidoacetate derivatives (III) is presented that results in the exclusive formation of trans pyridazine derivatives (IV).
