ChemInform Abstract

The 2-hydrazinocinchoninic acid amides (I) are used for several anellation reactions. Thus, the reaction with pyruvic acid (II) gives the triazinoquinolines (III) while with the corresponding ethyl pyruvates (IV) open-chain hydrazones (V) are formed which cyclize only during heating. The reaction with ethyl othoformate or aldehydes leads to the corresponding triazoloquinolines (VII) and (IX), respectively.
