ChemInform Abstract
Mono lithium-halogen exchange reaction on 1,3,5-tribromobenzene followed by reaction with perfluoroalkylether ester (II) yields the aryl ketone (III). A classical SF4/HF reaction of this ketone leads to the perfluoroalkylether benzene (IV). This process can be repeated stepwise until all bromines are substituted (cf. (V)).
