ChemInform Abstract

A general method for the preparation of enantiomerically enriched 2- oxo(or thioxo)-1,3,2-oxazaphosphorinanes of different α- substitution patterns (aryl, alkyl, and alkoxy) is described and proceeds by smooth electrophilic substitution of the carbanions of the corresponding (thio)phosphonamidates, e.g. (I), (V), and (VIII).
