ChemInform Abstract

It represents a new route to optically active pyridyl alcohols. In addition, it is shown that prolonged incubation can increase enantiomeric excess. Thus, for example, (R)-(Ib) is obtained with 92% e.e. after 60 days, however considerable amounts of the corresponding ketone are also formed.
